“Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore identified the deceased as 47-year-old Paul Leatherwood.
Shore said Leatherwood died from multiple gunshots to the chest.
Sgt. David Creamer said a frantic woman inside a house on Kings Road made a 911 call at 2:45 a.m. Dispatchers said she was screaming and they couldn’t make sense of what she was telling them, so they sent officers to the home.
Three officers arrived at the home, but just one was involved in the shooting, Creamer said.
The man inside had a handgun, but didn’t fire, according to Creamer. No further details were given.”
