Mooresville, North Carolina police shoot first ask questions later

“An officer involved shooting in Mooresville late Wednesday night is under investigation by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.

Police say officers were responding to a call on the 500 block of North Broad Street.

The caller reported a disturbance involving a person trying to break into the home there.

While investigating the call, officers say they encountered a suspicious person near the house.

One officer fired his service weapon, striking the suspect.

The unidentified person was transported to Carolinas Medical Center via helicopter.

A spokesman for the Mooresville police say the department  requested  that the S.B.I. look into the shooting.”

Cops saw a suspicious person… so they did what cops do… they shot ’em.
